Job Title: Project Manager / AutoCAD Detailer

Location: On-site | Full-Time

Industry: Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication

Position Overview:

An established and rapidly growing AISC-certified metal fabricator is seeking a talented and driven Project Manager / AutoCAD Detailer to manage project workflows and contribute technical detailing expertise. This hybrid role blends project management responsibilities with hands-on drafting, requiring excellent communication, time management, and a deep understanding of architectural and miscellaneous metalwork. The position reports directly to the Project & Shop Operations Executive and plays a key role in client communication, scheduling, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and review contract drawings and specifications to plan and manage project timelines effectively.
• Create and understand erection and fabrication drawings for miscellaneous and ornamental metal components.
• Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients to build trust and manage expectations.
• Conduct site visits for field measurements, layout verification, and project coordination.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Bluebeam to produce accurate detailing and documentation.
• Contribute to the development of project-specific schedules and proactively track milestones.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Significant experience interpreting architectural and structural drawings in a metal's fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of miscellaneous/architectural metal fabrication and erection methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination and client interaction.
• Field measurement and site survey experience is essential.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Schedule creation and project tracking experience is a plus.
