**Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to undertake a variety of tasks involving electrical and mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate will be proficient in wiring, soldering, reading electrical schematics, and interpreting mechanical drawings. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow production drawings, sample assemblies, or verbal instructions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform electrical tasks including wiring, soldering, reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, cutting and tinning wires.
+ Conduct mechanical tasks such as sanding, lapping, mixing chemicals/ratios, encapsulation, and torqueing.
+ Read work orders and follow production drawings and sample assemblies.
+ Position and align parts in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
+ Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts.
+ Mount assembled components like transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panels or printed wiring boards.
+ Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route and connect wires between component leads and other connectors, terminals, and contact points.
+ Manufacture cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, coaxial cable, twin-axial cable, and fiber-optic cable.
+ Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
+ Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies.
+ Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
+ Conduct online inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, and soldering.
+ Experience in electronic assembly, schematic reading, and electrical wiring.
+ Ability to perform electrical and mechanical tasks with precision.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in manufacturing cables and wiring harnesses.
+ Ability to install finished assemblies or subassemblies.
+ Skilled in performing intermediate assembly tasks and online inspections.
**Work Environment**
Work within a controlled production environment where attention to detail and adherence to production specifications and standards are essential.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Maria, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
