"We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 26-week travel/contract assignment in Gilroy, CA 95020. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply."

Job Details:

• Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week

• Weekly Pay Rate: $1470 - $1610

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
• Therapy Implementation: Provide therapy to improve communication skills, including speech articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice, fluency, and social communication.
• Swallowing Therapy: Address swallowing disorders by developing and implementing appropriate treatment strategies.
• Family and Caregiver Education: Educate family members and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home.
• Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and audiologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with a diverse patient population is advantageous.

Travel & Local Considerations:

• Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
