Hiring Immediately for Fixed Route Drivers! Paid CDL Training! Transdev is actively hiring bus drivers for their fixed route transit service in Nassau County, NY. We are looking for safe, friendly drivers to help passengers move around throughout Nassau County using public transportation. Transdev is proud to offer: Starting hourly rate $25.5157 with progression to $42.5260 over 8 years. Benefits include: - Vacation: Based on the CBA. After completion of 1 year of revenue service 5 vacation days the following calendar year - Paid Sick Leave: 7 sick days pro-rated for full-time employees/ up to 4 hrs. monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Responsibilities: + Drive a transit bus and transport passengers around Nassau County, NY in safe and courteous manner + Greet passengers, ensure fare payment and maintain a safe environment + Notify dispatch of any incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns + Other duties as required Requirements: + High school diploma, GED or equivalent + A valid NY State Class D or E driver's license in good standing is required. + Must present an original Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) issued within the last 30 days + Previous bus or heavy-duty vehicle driving experience preferred + Excellent customer and communication skills + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules + Subject to DOT drug testing.
