Job Description

The HT Group is seeking a CAD SolidWorks Designer/Draftsman for a client in Beaumont. This is a contract to hire position. Hours are Mon-Fri 7am-4pm – OT as required. Pay will be $25-$30hr DOE. **On site testing required for client interviews**

Responsibilities:
Prepare and review preliminary designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements
Perform structural design tasks with a strong focus on AISC Code compliance
Design and develop base plates, support structures, and other related components
Draft and model designs using AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and SolidWorks
Create and maintain documentation and reports using MS Office tools
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD Designer/Draftsman, ideally with a focus on structural design
Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and SolidWorks is required
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime and weekends when necessary
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A college degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not mandatory
Capable of working collaboratively within a design team and providing support for other disciplines as needed
