System One is currently seeking a
Civil Project Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Earth, TX.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities: - Oversee and contribute to large-scale wind projects.
- Responsible for providing civil expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects,
- Will focus on collaborating with other engineers and project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are clearly outlined.
- Evaluate drawings, studies, and analyses.
- Review the technical documentation to confirm that everything aligns with the project specifications and requirements.
- Variances to the company's master specifications will need to be communicated internally for approvals by the engineer.
- For construction activities, the day will be more in-person, assisting team members by addressing any civil engineering-related questions they may have about the project. This could include clarifying details about the design or construction process and troubleshooting any issues that arise on-site.
- Overall responsibilities will vary from planning/reviewing to providing direct support during the construction.
- Work with our other engineers on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.
Civil Engineer Requirements: - Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred.
- SAP a plus.
- 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
- Bachelors degree for an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
