Our challenge We are looking for a proficient Core Java Developer with specialized expertise in e-trading systems and a robust understanding of ION connectivity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in developing high-performance e-trading applications and integrating seamlessly with ION platforms to optimize trade execution and connectivity.
Additional Information - New York Only*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is $130k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role Responsibilities : - Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance e-trading applications using Core development skills.
- Integrating with ION connectivity solutions to facilitate seamless trade execution, market data feeds, and real-time position management.
- Optimizing and fine-tuning the performance of e-trading applications for low-latency and high-throughput trading environments.
- Collaborating with front office trading teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards for robust, maintainable, and scalable software development.
Requirements: You are: - Minimum 10+ years of experience is required.
- Very strong Java and advance Java fundamentals
- Hands on experience with Java (JDK 11 or 17)
- Hands-on experience with developing and implementing REST APIs (including Enterprise Authentication and Authentication)
- Good hands-on experience Spring frameworks (including Spring Boot and Spring Boot Actuator)
- Strong experience in Messaging (JMS, Active MQ or similar)
- Good experience developing web services (SOAP and REST)
- Strong Database design skills including SQL, procedures, and query tuning.
- Extensive experience with asynchronous, event-driven programming & concurrency
- Experience with Capital Markets, understanding how Derivatives instruments are priced and valued, RFQ workflow.
- Experience in eTrading
It would be great if you also had: - Experience in Integration with ION, TradeWeb and Bloomberg
