Job Description

A well-established metals recycling company is seeking a Facility Manager to lead operations at one of its facilities. This role requires an experienced professional with both operational expertise and business acumen to manage people, equipment, and materials while driving performance improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily yard operations, including material intake, processing, inventory, and outbound logistics.
• Lead and develop a team of yard employees, ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage and optimize ferrous and non-ferrous processing operations.
• Coordinate marketing, sales, and commodity pricing activities in alignment with supply chain needs.
• Establish and monitor strategic goals, KPIs, and continuous process improvements to advance operational efficiency.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure safe, reliable operation of yard equipment such as loaders, shears, and material handlers.
• Maintain yard organization to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a professional customer experience.
• Drive cross-departmental collaboration to enhance project execution and overall performance.
• Manage full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial goals and budgets are achieved.
• Report operational results and key performance metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in metals recycling, scrap yard management, or a related heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials and processing equipment.
• Demonstrated success in managing sales, pricing, and supply chain operations.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives and KPIs.
• Solid financial management skills, including P&L oversight.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
