Position-Finance Intern
Work with the leadership team in a growing tech company initiative to raise its next round . Fine-tune real financial models, craft investor materials, and run a professional VC pipeline-hands on.
About the Role
We're hiring a Fundraising Intern to support our seed/Series raise. You'll work directly with the leadership team and help drive the full fundraising motion-from numbers to narrative to outreach. This is a paid, part-time, remote engagement with flexible hours.
What You'll Do
Build/maintain 3-statement models, ARR/CAC/LTV cohorts, runway & scenario analysis.
Create sensitivity tables (pricing, conversion, hiring plans) and cash-flow forecasts.
Package clean model outputs for investor-ready views (charts, metrics sheets).
Draft and iterate pitch deck, one-pager, and data room checklists.
Craft narrative: problem, market, traction, roadmap, use of funds, and KPIs.
Prepare case studies, ROI stories, and FAQ/objection-handling notes.
Own and maintain the investor CRM (tiers, tags, status, next steps).
Research and qualify funds/angels for thesis fit (stage, sector, geography).
Coordinate warm intros, schedule meetings, send follow-ups, and track notes.
Build weekly funnel reports (top of funnel meetings diligence commitments).
What You'll Learn (Hands-On)
End-to-end VC fundraising process for a tech startup (prep outreach diligence).
How to translate product & traction into an investor narrative and metrics.
Practical deal hygiene: data room setup, KPI instrumentation, and pipeline discipline.
Tools You'll Use
Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, Notion/Airtable or HubSpot (CRM), DocSend, Crunchbase/PitchBook (or equivalents), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Calendly.
Requirements
Strong Excel/Sheets skills; can build and audit startup financial models.
Clear written communication; slide-making that is concise and on-brand.
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving a pipeline to deadlines.
Curiosity about venture capital and tech business models.
Preferred
MBA (completed or in progress) preferred.
Solid understanding of SaaS tech startups and SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, payback).
Prior experience supporting VC fundraising in North America (US/Canada)
Internship/experience in VC, startups, investment banking, or FP&A.

Time-to-follow-up and CRM data completeness.
Quality and clarity of financial model & deck (leadership feedback).
Engagement & Compensation
Freelance, part-time (10 hrs/week) with ET overlap.
Paid: hourly or milestone-based.
Initial term: 3 months, with potential extension.
