Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting daily warehouse and plant operations by safely handling recyclable fiber materials, ensuring efficient loading/unloading, and maintaining smooth production flow.
Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move bales of recycled fiber, pallets, and materials.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
Transport recyclable materials to designated storage or processing areas.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and equipment in proper working condition.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to achieve operational targets.
Follow company safety policies and environmental guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
6+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or recycling environment (preferred).
Ability to work in varying conditions, including outdoor elements, dusty, or noisy environments.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
Work Environment:
Exposure to loud machinery, heavy equipment, and recyclable materials.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings.
