Job Description

Malouf is seeking an experienced Front End Web Developer to add to their growing in-house team. We are looking for someone with previous web experience (2+ years) that can take the primary role of creating and maintaining several websites. Personal problem-solving, initiative-taking, and a collaborative mindset with minimal oversight are key to being successful at Malouf. This designer will work primarily on web design but will occasionally be asked to help on other digital marketing and print materials.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Execute all web design stages from research and wireframing to final designs and audits. Projects may include but not limited to:
  • Full site designs
  • Landing page designs
  • App designs
  • Site audits and maintenance

• Create sitemaps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to communicate ideas
• Collaborate with developers, copywriters, and marketers to create products that are user-friendly; work directly with photo and video teams to develop content
  • Offer creative input and ideas within the design team and across departments
• Execute a variety of visual styles across many different brands
• Work closely with the Online Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator to execute campaigns that increase sales and strengthen the brand across touchpoints

Qualifications and Skills:
REQUIRED:

• Solid understanding of responsive web design and visual layout with a strong portfolio (portfolio link or attachment preferred with application)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of other web design and prototyping programs a plus
• Sensitivity to usability and user interactions
• Able to manage multiple priorities and demands in a quick moving environment
• Positive attitude and a team-building mindset 
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with your teammates
• Open to changes in team roles and structure due to fast company growth
• Thirst to learn about new tools, web protocols, and standards
• Experience with shopify is a must

PREFERRED:

• 2+ years professional experience as a web designer
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working directly with developers
• Experience with user testing
