Sterling Utilities is currently hiring Gas Utility Meter Readers to operate in Southern New Jersey. This position will include consistent travel throughout the day utilizing a company vehicle. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided.
SUMMARY
This position is part of a multi-year contract to perform gas meter readings along assigned routes throughout the Southern New Jersey territories of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. Readers will record meters using handheld devices to transmit data.
As meter readers, individuals will be responsible for obtaining the actual readings of gas meters on commercial and residential premises throughout the coverage areas. This will involve constant daily travel and interaction with clients and their customers.
