Golf Course Attendant
Golf course in New Braunfels, Texas is looking for a Golf Course Attendant.
Position Overview:
Monitor the pace of play and help guide players throughout their day of golf. Staff presence will help ensure that players have the highest quality customer service.
Duties:
• Patrolling the golf course to ensure golfers are adhering to course rules and regulations.
• Maintaining an acceptable pace of play for golfers.
• Aid golfers and give directions.
• Recording and reporting any incidents or rules violations to golf course management.
• Maintaining proper golf etiquette among players.
• Assist with golf tournaments.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive image of the golf course.
• Sit in golf cart with both feet on the floor.
• Respond to golfers’ questions, requests, and concerns.
• Communicate throughout the day with the pro-shop and starter on duty.
• Monitor the safety of golfers on the golf course.
• Pick up trash throughout the property.
• Check water cooler levels and re-fill as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent or in process of attaining.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
Required knowledge of:
City policies and procedures.
Fundamentals of the game of golf, golf course operations, and familiar with the rules of golf.
City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Required skill in:
Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures.
Dealing tactfully and courteously with the public; and providing effective and friendly customer service.
Effective communication, both verbal and written.
Compensation:
$12.33- $17.26 per hour.
