Salary: $400 / Week Special Education Teacher - Summer School Program Location: Orange County (Tustin, CA) Program Dates: June 2 - June 30, 2025 Tentative Hours: 7:35 AM - 12:05 PM Are you passionate about supporting students with special needs and making a difference in their education? Join our Summer School program as a Special Education Teacher, where you'll work closely with students from elementary to high school under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator. Position Overview: The Special Education Teacher will provide high-quality instruction and individualized support to students with special needs. The role involves collaborating with general education staff to ensure student success, offering specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate (as required by regulations) + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred) + State Teacher Certifications (preferred): + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred) + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if required) + Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Available Classes: + Elementary (Grades 3-5, Autism Class) + Elementary (Grades 1-3, Mild/Moderate Class) + High School (Grades 9-12, Mild/Moderate Class) Why Join Our Summer School Team? + Make a lasting impact on students with special needs. + Work in a supportive and collaborative environment. + Gain valuable experience in diverse classroom settings. + Enjoy a short-term role with meaningful work!
