Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized HR Associate to support the smooth operation of the Human Resources department. As an HR Associate, you will play a key role in handling various tasks such as benefits administration, payroll management, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Assist with posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Conduct initial candidate screenings and maintain recruitment records.
Work closely with the HR Manager and hiring teams to define job requirements and update job descriptions as needed.
Onboarding and Orientation:
Support new employee onboarding by preparing documentation and inputting data into the HRIS.
Coordinate orientation sessions and onboarding activities across relevant departments.
Ensure new hires are familiar with company policies and procedures during orientation.
Benefits Administration:
Manage the open enrollment process and support new employees in enrolling for benefits.
Handle mid-year benefits changes and respond to employee inquiries, serving as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
Payroll and HRIS Management:
Process payroll, personnel changes, and maintain data accuracy in the payroll/HRIS system.
Ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing while addressing any discrepancies.
Administrative Support:
Maintain and protect electronic personnel records, ensuring confidentiality.
Provide administrative support including data entry, reporting, and database management.
Company Culture and Employee Relations:
Assist with initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
Support management and employees by resolving conflicts, improving employee relations, and boosting overall morale.
Performance Management:
Partner with the HR Manager to facilitate performance reviews and evaluations, supporting regular evaluation cycles.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
Stay updated on HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance with employment practices.
Help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures to the organization.
Training and Development:
Research and recommend relevant training opportunities to enhance employee skills and departmental growth.
Event Coordination:
Coordinate volunteer programs and company events with the Activity Committee.
Help plan and execute company-wide cultural activities to promote employee engagement.
Exit Management:
Conduct exit interviews, gather feedback, and provide insights to the HR Manager and leadership team.
Special Projects:
Support HR initiatives by preparing data for presentations and reports.
Take on other duties as required to assist the HR department in achieving its goals.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 years of HR experience (5+ years preferred).
Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations is an advantage.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience a plus).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage confidential information responsibly.
Work Environment:
Typical office environment with significant computer use.
Hybrid work schedule (3-4 days in the office, depending on business needs).
