FLSA Status: Exempt; Full Time M-F

SCOPE OF POSITION :

Support Controls and Commercial Sales by providing timely, accurate proposals that are competitive in the Commercial Construction industry while providing cost analysis to ensure profitability. Advance core knowledge in producing Controls drawings for Commercial projects while following industry design standards. Create Bills of Material and assist with parts staging to ensure technician/installer efficiency. 

 

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have knowledge of mechanical systems including: hot water, chiller water, DX, unitary, air distribution and ancillary systems such as lighting and life safety
• Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical plans, and design specifications
• Strong sense of personal organization skills when it comes to managing work load
• Comfortable working with Outlook and Microsoft Suite
• Associate or bachelor's degree is a plus
• Demonstrates broad understanding of technical engineering procedures, principles, theories and concepts in the field
• 2+ years of relevant experience or related Bachelor’s degree for entry-level position
• Experience with AutoCAD or Bluebeam (preferred)
• Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical plans, and design specifications (preferred)

• Project Estimating
• Proposal Generation
• Site walks (possible)
• Attend job turn-over meetings
• Continuous product/systems training
• Stage all incoming material for projects
• Coordinate material distribution
• Digital material documentation filing
• Work and coordinate with a team of people (Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Salesperson, Mechanical Contractor, Design Engineer, and Installation Contractor)
• Perform drafting/engineering to core team standards after training
• Review and annotate design specifications and mechanical plans
• Resolve discrepancies between the Sales and Contract documents
• Generate AutoCAD design documents, select building automation system hardware, and submit requests for information
