Job Description

Our client, a leading logistics company, is looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Import/Export Coordinator to join their team. This full-time, direct hire role is 100% onsite in Elk Grove and offers a $45,000 – $50,000 base salary plus an annual bonus. Import/Export Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coordinate international shipments by arranging, booking, and confirming space for ocean freight
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of documentation for inbound and outbound shipments
• Communicate with carriers and vendors to track shipments, resolve issues and maintain up-to-date records
• Provide support to both internal and external customers, offering shipment details and logistics solutions
• Utilize Cargo Wise or a similar system to manage and optimize shipping processes
• Assist in other logistics-related tasks as needed to support a fast-moving and collaborative environment

Import/Export Coordinator Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in ocean import/export logistics
• Strong understanding of freight operations and shipping procedures
• Familiarity with Cargo Wise or similar logistics software
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
