**Department:** Instrumentation **Reports to: Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager** **Employment Status:** Regular Full-time **Wage** s: · Instrumentation Technician I: $26.25 per hour · Instrumentation Technician II: $35 to $46 per hour · Instrumentation Technician III: $40 per hour, ranging from $30 to $52 per hour **Position Summary:** Aerotek is looking to hire an Instrumentation Technician who performs semi-skilled work in the design, construction, installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment used in stormwater, wastewater, and potable water systems. The role involves using hand tools and light motorized equipment to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot PLCs, power supplies, pumps, motors, valves, and sensors. The Technician works under the direct supervision of the Instrumentation Foreman and may report to the Crew Lead, Superintendent, and Project Manager. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** · Learn and perform instrumentation, electrical, and controls work. · Troubleshoot, modify, install, and support PLC-based controls and instrumentation logic. · Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, program, and perform preventive maintenance on various equipment. · Design, install, configure, and diagnose ethernet, radio, and fiber-optic networks. · Diagnose and repair electrical conductors and components < 600 VAC. · Read and interpret as-built drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs. · Develop, review, and update written maintenance instructions, manuals, and schedules. · Create Field and Maintenance Reports. · Set up and tear down work sites. · Follow industry safety requirements and company safety protocols. · Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees. · Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed. **Minimum Qualifications:** · High School Diploma or GED. · Relevant experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation, electrical, and control systems. · knowledge of single and three-phase AC and DC electrical power systems below 600 volts. · Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems including SCADA, PLCs, and motor controls. · Proficient in programming and diagnosing PLC ladder logic, RTU configuration, instruments, actuators, and VFDs. · Familiar with common computer network protocols including Ethernet, USB, and serial networks. · Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills. · Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a favorable driving record. · Ability to travel using various modes and accommodate night and weekend work as needed. **Physical Demands and Work Environment:** · Regularly works on-site at construction work sites with exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated and underground precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. · Frequently uses a computer keyboard and views a computer monitor. · Requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk, and hear. · Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 155 pounds with assistance. · Required to work extended hours, alternative shifts, and travel for project needs. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.40 - $35.63/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
