What To Expect
Plesae consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around September 2025 and continue through the fall term (approximately December 2025) or into Spring 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.
About The Team
Low Voltage Power Systems Integration Engineers within the Vehicle Software organization work side by side with various cross-functional teams to lead the design and development of low voltage power distribution, network management and low voltage battery management systems. This role utilizes hardware, software, and system design fundamentals to support new product design, define vehicle behaviors, bring-up prototypes, and validation. Low Voltage Power integration engineers are leading new technology development for the next generations of Tesla vehicles and are responsible for overall functionality and performance of low voltage power distribution systems throughout product life cycle.
What You'll Do Architecting vehicle low voltage power systems including power distribution, power management, and network managementDistill vehicle product requirements into actionable software and hardware requirements, and define system hardware and software interfacesLead system behavior design of low voltage power distribution products and featuresBring-up and debug early software and hardware prototypes through characterizing the systems and ensuring systems perform to requirements and support validation teams in developing component and system level testing strategies to meet product requirementsUnderstand and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment of products or featuresPerform field data analytics to improve behaviors and performance of the systemAnalyze changes to assess impact to systems by summarizing impacted devices, interfaces and process in the hardware and software domain
What You'll Bring Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field of study with a graduation date between August 2025-August 2026Experience in C/C++Experience with embedded systemsComfortable with Electrical Engineering fundamentalsAbility to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts

Expected Compensation
$36.06 - $56.12/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
