Job Description:

Support maintenance department operations by managing the work order system, analyzing workloads versus resource availability and developing work plans. This position will also be responsible to spot-check completed work and PM activities to ensure quality and provide feedback.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the PM system through SAP by creating, updating and scheduling maintenance plans.
  • Build weekly and/or daily maintenance plans for the maintenance resources using planned PMs, and work orders from SAP.
  • Contact contractors for quotes related to requested work and schedule visits for repairs as needed.
  • Enter REQs in SAP to purchase parts and labor for planned work.
  • Work with accounts payable and vendors for service orders to process payments for yearly service agreements.
  • Coordinate with Production Control, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations on the PM/Line Clean schedule.
  • Keep current year and future year PM/Line Cleaning schedule up to date based on frequency and equipment uptime/condition
  • Do pre-PM/ Line Clean work planning for parts availability and pre stage parts.
  • Schedule post PM/ Line clean meetings with Production and Engineering.
  • Do post PM/ Line Clean evaluation to update procedures and confirm follow up work orders are generated as needed.
  • Maintain TPM records and sheets for all machines/areas for preventive maintenance tasks performed by operations.
  • Update hierarchy in SAP for new machines/equipment as it is added or necessary adjustments as equipment is removed.
  • Maintain calibration records, update procedures and enter returned calibration sheets in tracking files.
  • Build and roll out line clean/PM visual maintenance board with task lists and other necessary sheets.
  • Audit SAP activity for maintenance department based on quality of information entered and hours in SAP vs hours logged in the plant.
  • Maintain and manage the work request system using SAP and the online shared excel document.
  • Send weekly reports of completed and open work items.
  • Track completion and creation of PMs and work request to create trend charts.
  • Schedule and run weekly planning meeting for the next week’s workload.
  • Attend weekly load review to represent maintenance and provide feedback on upcoming/current PM/line cleans.
  • Attend daily DI meetings and be prepared to speak to maintenance open actions, shift reports, and upcoming activity.
  • Update and create new procedures for maintenance tasks working with operations, maintenance, and engineering.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations.

Education:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Training or advanced education in maintenance, a technical trade, or engineering preferred

Requirements:

  • Proficient/fluent computer knowledge. Windows applications experience is required and must demonstrate proficiency in excel at a minimum.
  • Understanding and ability to use SAP is preferred.
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
  • Ability to deliver positive feedback and constructive criticism to the team members.
  • Work history of prior experience in maintenance and/or scheduling functions
