This job is within the American Airlines Federal Credit Union. The role is responsible for maintaining IRA and Share Certificate products, Withholding and Dividend review.

What you'll do

• ​Open and process transactions on all types of IRAs, Regular Share Certificates and IRA Share Certificates
• Verify all share certificate and IRA products opened in accordance with departmental procedures
• Review daily work from branches for required documents and accuracy of data or posted transactions
• Review daily/monthly reports for accuracy of posted transactions to ensure correct end-of-year reporting
• Create reports for internal and external use
• Process incoming mail
• Process high volume of phone calls and occasional in-person interaction with members
• Provide assistance to field staff either by phone or e-mail
• Review and verify monthly dividends posted to all accounts
• Review deposit products on monthly member statements for accuracy
• Create files and process payments to beneficiaries on deceased IRA/Share Certificate members
• Review tax reports for accuracy of information being reported to members and the IRS
• Meet tax reporting deadlines for members and the IRS throughout the year
• Validate and test Bonus Dividends
• Conduct testing of all products and commands for system upgrades
• Assist staff with periodic review of policies and procedures for required updates
• Perform other duties, as assigned
• The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​High school diploma or GED
  
   

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business or some college coursework in business
• Previous banking or Credit Union experience
• Experience with Episys system and knowledge of IRA/Share Certificate processing
  
   

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• ​Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
• Ability to exercise excellent member service skills and professional telephone manner
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
• Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels, both verbally and written
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
• Must pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
