Job Title: MS SQL Server DBA

Overview:
Seeking an experienced MS SQL Server DBA to manage, optimize, and automate SQL environments for a leading US-based P&C insurer. Role involves Azure DevOps CI/CD, automation, performance tuning, and ensuring database integrity and security across global environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer SQL Server (installation, upgrades, tuning, backup/restore).
Automate DB tasks with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Optimize queries, server configs, and maintain performance/security.
Manage permissions and enforce database standards.
Support dev, test, and prod environments with on-call troubleshooting.
Create system documentation and reporting dashboards.
Mentor team members and recommend new tools/best practices.
Required Skills:
5+ years SQL Server DBA (2012 2019+) with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS.
Strong in backups, restores, performance tuning, scripting (PowerShell/Bash).
Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, Azure SQL/VM.
Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers.
Exposure to cloud (Azure; AWS a plus).
Knowledge of data warehousing and large datasets.
Technical Tools:
SQL Server, SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, PowerShell, Bash, Azure DevOps, CI/CD (DACPAC, SQL projects), performance monitoring tools, Windows/Linux.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, documentation, global collaboration, and communication skills; willingness to provide on-call support.
