Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall functioning, planning , controlling , organizing , and directing the day-to-day operations and activities of the oncology front office .

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include answer the phones, address any issues/concerns, schedule patient appointments (office visits, labs, radiology, referrals, etc.) and check out patients when needed.
  • Prepare Daily Charts for Physician.
  • Review, enter and schedule all new patient referrals and hospital F/U's.
  • Obtain medical records for new patients and established patients from outside facilities.
  • Assist Physician with Cleveland Clinic Peer to peer reviews, tumor board activities and schedule and send case list to Tumor Registrars.
  • Adjust schedule to accommodate physician (vacation, meetings, etc.)
  • Order all documents for office through Ricoh Document Service Center.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Scan and attach medical record documents.
  • Pull faxes and distribute to proper personnel.
  • Assist HIM with any documents/approvals/orders needed for billing coders
  • Assists Nursing Manager in educational and training activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
  • One year front desk/medical clinic clerical support/administrative assistant required.
Pay Range $15.00 - $18.87 /hour
