Job Title: Oil And Gas Engineer
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oil and Gas Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on a variety of projects including pipeline mainline, trenchless installations, and associated facilities such as metering/regulation, compression, over-pressure protection, and storage. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in engineering, with a focus on natural gas pipelines and related facilities.
Responsibilities - Design and calculate linear pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Perform quality checks on designs and installations.
- Review and evaluate manufacturers' drawings.
- Prepare procurement specifications and construction documents.
- Evaluate bids and select appropriate contractors.
- Conduct conceptual design studies and write comprehensive reports.
- Select materials and equipment for projects.
- Observe construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
- Handle project permitting and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Perform site investigations and evaluate environmental conditions.
- Execute other similar tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Earth.
- Experience with natural gas pipelines and trenchless crossings.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to obtain it.
- Ability to perform site investigations and evaluate permitting requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience with natural gas regulating facilities is preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with ArcGIS skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil).
- Experience with midstream, pipeline, and GIS.
Work Environment
This position requires 3-4 days per week in the Englewood office, with 4 days preferred for less experienced candidates. Travel may be up to 30%, but typically around 20%, depending on project locations and timelines. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
