The SEO Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of organic search marketing initiatives for an array of e-commerce stores. This role should be comfortable with multiple aspects of marketing and SEO.

Day-to-day duties may include performing research, analysis, and creating comprehensive SEO strategies to achieve client goals. Additionally, this role is responsible for the execution of SEO and CRO recommendations. As well as building a rapport with a portfolio of clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze client websites and define effective strategies for achieving their SEO goals
  • Implement SEO recommendations by performing a variety of deliverables
  • Complete deliverables on-time and perform QA testing to ensure it is error-free
  • Continually improve your understanding of SEO, CRO, and marketing by seeking out new information from thought leaders in the industry and completing trainings to attain new credentials
  • Master the tools and technology required to complete deliverables
  • Produce various reports for clients and articulate the why and what next
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to ensure on-time delivery
  • Work collaboratively across teams and marketing channels
  • Remain up to date on industry changes and best practices
  • Complete technical SEO deliverables including but not limited to keyword matrix, technical site health, competitor benchmarking, index coverage, striking distant, metadata optimization, information architecture, etc.
  • Develop test ideas based on both data and client goals and secure client buy in to run tests
  • Uncover and resolve website issues impacting SEO and CRO performance
  • Manage a portfolio of clients by way of driving strategy, outlining goals, assessing performance, executing deliverables, etc.
  • Contribute to internal trainings, discussions, and cross-channel initiatives
  • Lead SEO and CRO discussions in client meetings, fielding questions and explaining both recommendations and performance
  • Maintain 85%+ client retention consistently QoQ
  • Effectively up-sell clients and assist in farming existing clients with the goal to help our clients achieve their goals
  • Work with internal team members to proactively identify potential client fires and resolve client issues and reduce risk of cancellation
  • Communicate with clients regularly (phone, email, in-person as needed)

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and two to three+ years of relevant experience required
  • Google Analytics certification required
  • Video conferencing experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work both individually and with cross-functional teams to drive results
  • Experience creating and executing SEO strategies for websites
  • Experience in ecommerce preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML and preferred
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines while keeping a professional demeanor
  • Strong skills in analysis, critical thinking, problem solving
  • Self-motivated, independent, proactiveProven organizational skills
  • Proven resourcefulness, showing initiative to research before asking questions
  • Experience using keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis
  • Experience creating and presenting reports including ROI and conversion rates
