Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in migrating business reporting solutions from Microsoft Excel to Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing Excel-based reports, designing robust data models, and delivering visually compelling and scalable Power BI dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with business users to understand existing Excel-based reports and analytics.
Perform detailed analysis and mapping of data sources used in Excel files.
Migrate and redesign Excel reports to Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and visualization best practices.
Develop, publish, and schedule interactive reports and dashboards.
Optimize data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability.
Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and other Power BI governance protocols.
Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to streamline the migration process.
Conduct end-user training sessions to transition users from Excel to Power BI.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements post-migration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Power BI development.
Strong experience in migrating complex Excel reports to Power BI.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Solid understanding of Excel formulas, pivot tables, macros, and advanced Excel features.
Experience working with SQL and various data connectors.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
Prior experience working in healthcare or diagnostics domain.
Knowledge of Power BI Service administration.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance practices.
