Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
+ 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
+ 1 year experience in an investigative role: developing machine learning based products or building machine learning based classification/ranking systems.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
+ 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
+ 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
+ 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.
+ Experience with Trust and Safety.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this role, you will build and maintain critical child safety signals and features, ensuring their quality, reliability, and effective integration across YouTube. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, policy, legal, and operations teams to embed robust child safety protections into new and existing YouTube experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Partner with highly creative cross-functional teams looking to launch new product.
+ Leverage ML and AI to build and maintain detection systems with immediate real world impact; test their performance, and iterate quickly.
+ Work collaboratively with engineering, feature teams, legal, policy, operations, and UX, and other teams to build systems to enable safety.
+ Advocate for user safety and contribute to the development of best practices, policies and process.
+ Act as a subject matter expert on child safety risks.
