Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Property Accountant to join our team in La Jolla, California. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity within the real estate and property industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and bookkeeping, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. This role requires work to be performed in the office initially, with potential for a hybrid schedule after training. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, payment processing, and vendor communications. - Utilize accounting software such as AppFolio or Yardi to maintain accurate financial records. - Collaborate with accounts receivable teams to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve discrepancies. - Process ACH payments and handle accrual accounting tasks with precision. - Support the team with day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring compliance with company policies. - Assist with financial reporting and provide support during audits as needed. - Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all financial transactions. - Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to address inquiries and issues. - Ensure adherence to business casual dress code and standard office hours with some scheduling flexibility. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping roles. - Proficiency in accounting software systems, with experience in AppFolio or Yardi preferred. - Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accrual accounting and account coding. - Familiarity with ERP systems and financial services platforms such as ADP or Concur. - Ability to process ACH payments and manage automated financial transactions. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors. - Business casual attire and availability to work in-office during standard hours, with some flexibility.
