WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We need someone who knows the literary media landscape and can bring experience and connections to the table.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU NEED?

• 2+ years of book publicity experience with a proven track record of national and regional media placements.
• Established media relationships with editors, producers, and journalists.
• Strong communication skills to write compelling pitches and follow up effectively.
• Project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and meet deadlines.
• A passion for socially conscious books that promote equity and inclusion.
• Reliability and commitment —we’re looking for someone who sees this as their career, not a temporary gig.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE?

• Develop and execute personalized media strategies for academic books.
• Pitch to media outlets across TV, print, radio, podcasts, and digital platforms.
• Build and maintain relationships with media professionals who cover socially impactful topics.
• Book media appearances, events, and speaking engagements.
• Provide weekly updates to track campaign progress.
