We are currently looking to add to a team of Registered Nurses to provide nursing care for a 21 year-old on the Windward side of Oahu with her very loving and devoted family. This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity with excellent pay. The current opportunity is for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday daytime shifts. Shifts may vary but will generally be 12 hours. The responsibilities will involve assessing, observing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care plan. The Registered Nurse RN reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for bringing joy and easing the burdens of the patient and family by providing person centered skilled nursing & client care. Training will be provided by both the Director of Nursing and the client's family. The registered nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to. The registered nurse is responsible for working with other care team members to ensure coordinated services and that all of the client's needs are addressed through the implementation of the Plan of Care. Responsibilities
  1. Provides care as defined within the scope of the state's nurse practice act.
  2. If directed by the Director of Nursing, makes the initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the client's nursing needs.
  3. If directed by the Director of Nursing, makes necessary revisions to the plan of care, keeping the Director of Nurses updated on the revisions.
  4. Provides those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.
  5. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
  6. Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.
  7. Informs the Director of Nursing, physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs.
  8. Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
  9. Provide information to be used for statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
  10. Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  11. Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws
  12. Participates in agency performance improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted RN license in state for which care is being provided
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited program
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required. Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience with one (1) year experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred.
  • Tracheostomy care experience
