Job Description

The newly established Breast Cancer Translational Research Center at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute invites applications for multiple full-time Research Assistant Professor positions in Breast Cancer Research. We are seeking highly motivated scientists with strong expertise in cancer biology, molecular biology, or related biomedical disciplines to join our collaborative and rapidly growing research program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on tumor microenvironment and translational breast cancer research. Contribute to ongoing NIH- and foundation-funded projects. Develop and maintain a strong record of peer-reviewed publications. Assist with grant writing and securing extramural funding. Supervise and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the Cancer Center and University.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field. At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience with demonstrated productivity. Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with cancer models (cell lines, patient-derived samples, mouse models) is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
