Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, business development, and account management, with a keen ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Mentor, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and meet targets.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Utilize Salesforce for tracking sales activities, managing leads, and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies and maximize outreach efforts.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Identify target markets, customer segments, and buy channels for closeout inventory.
  • Collaborate with leadership to price inventory competitively and profitably.

Team Leadership & Performance:

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability.
  • Conduct regular coaching, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Negotiate deals with buyers and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and professionally.

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
  • Use insights to position inventory effectively and identify new sourcing/buying opportunities.

Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Track sales activities and prepare weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
  • Use CRM tools (NetSuite) to manage pipeline and client engagement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 6+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in closeouts, liquidation, wholesale, or related industries.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of reverse logistics or secondary markets.
  • Existing buyer/supplier network in the closeout or liquidation space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
