• The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

• Provide personal, equipment, and property security for assigned areas.
• May provide information, directions, and escort service as needed.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Job Requirements :

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Must be able to qualify to carry firearms.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
• Must possess a current Kansas Driver’s License.
• Must possess current Auto Liability Insurance in accordance with Kansas law.
• Must be able to qualify for company insurance.
• Must be able to perform the duties of a security officer, including subduing and legally detaining suspects.
• Must possess manual dexterity
• Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system; database and word processing skills required.

Preferred Job Requirements: 

• Prefer a minimum of two to three years experience in law enforcement, security-related armed service, institutional security program, or honorable military service.
• Prefer law enforcement, KDC, or security experience.
• Secondary Spanish language skills.
• 10-key experience.
