Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GIS Business Analyst to join our team! In this exciting contract role, you will play a critical part in developing and implementing innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

What you'll do:

Gather and analyze requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and document processes.
Design and document solutions: Create detailed functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and screen mockups.
Lead and collaborate: Lead project teams, act as a liaison between business and technology, and ensure successful project implementation.
Analyze data and identify solutions: Conduct in-depth business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to identify and implement effective solutions.
Ensure project success: Monitor project progress, evaluate results, and resolve any issues that may arise.
Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices in GIS and business analysis.
What you'll bring to the table:

Proven experience in business analysis: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an applications development environment.
Strong GIS expertise: Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS and AutoDesk/AutoCAD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
Project management experience: Experience leading and managing projects, including gathering requirements, documenting processes, and ensuring project success.
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
Bonus points for:

CBAP or CCBA certification.
Experience with Quality Assurance.
Coding or software development experience.
Data analysis and/or database skills with MS SQL and/or Oracle.
Experience with user interface/user experience design.
